statement

Most of my work is a journey, as well as statement of my surroundings. Things happen all around us all the time, whether we acknowledge them or ignore them are always up to us.

I try to record some of mine, but life moves so fast, I just can't get them all, I attempt to nail down a certain Idea, feeling, something I have seen, or story I've been told, an experience that has made a lasting impression..... We all have similar pleasures and fears I attempt to come clean, without spelling everything out, I would rather you try to figure some of these things out, come up with your own conclusion, to have you pay more attention to your own world.

At one point or another we all end up in one of my paintings, what you see here, could help you decipher where you are, where you have been, and where you are going.

Not all of it is pretty.

Twilight

Twilight

aprox. 40"x 50"
acrylic/canvas

I did this a while back.......This was a gift for my brother...  It took about two years for his wife to get comfortable with the painting....
Now its hanging in his living room!
Lately I have not had the time to break out the paints, the move to my new city has taken a toll on my creative time, that and finding a good space to work from.... still searching.

Oh Yeah... Happy New Year!!
This my last post of 2011... Bring on 2012!

"Twilight" is a great painting, JB. And I just finished watching (listening to) two days of Twilight Zone--one of my all-time favorite TV series.

Oh it has been awhile, i was away from the internet for almost 3 months. So you're moved, i know the impact that has. It took me also awhile for drawing again....
A beautiful, haunting painting as always JB. I hope 2012 will bring you lots of creativity, beautiful muses and everything you wish for...

Hey Momo..
Yeah I moved to a city to the West of here....
I didn't realize how much these things take away from one's time to produce any kind of work....
I hope to get back into the swing soon, but I have two in the works as we speak...
Thanks for hanging in there!
