statement

Most of my work is a journey, as well as statement of my surroundings. Things happen all around us all the time, whether we acknowledge them or ignore them are always up to us.

I try to record some of mine, but life moves so fast, I just can't get them all, I attempt to nail down a certain Idea, feeling, something I have seen, or story I've been told, an experience that has made a lasting impression..... We all have similar pleasures and fears I attempt to come clean, without spelling everything out, I would rather you try to figure some of these things out, come up with your own conclusion, to have you pay more attention to your own world.

At one point or another we all end up in one of my paintings, what you see here, could help you decipher where you are, where you have been, and where you are going.

Not all of it is pretty.

Godless Room
acrylic/canvas
38"x 26"

I did this a while back......
I have been busy trying to get some new work going,  it just seems like time is harder and harder to find.
I hope the holidays treated everyone well.
And the new year is a productive one.
All the best!

JBK!

I love the hues - the blues and the splashes of orange/red. This is a nice large size, and I can imagine the impact in "real" life.

The holidays are what they are, and we have been busy digging out after a nice dumping of snow, but I'm sure you are more than aware ;)

Keep it up, my friend, the inspiration and time will come to you!

Happy New Year,
Brian

This painting pulled me here. Love the colors and the way you worked with them. Don't be concerned about productivity. Creativity for me is like the tides it comes in then goes out. If that isn't acknowledged the same thing gets painted over and over. But hey the galleries seem to prefer that.

This is a great work. For some reason I think of a slaughter house and Francis Bacon.

Have a great 2011.
