statement

Most of my work is a journey, as well as statement of my surroundings. Things happen all around us all the time, whether we acknowledge them or ignore them are always up to us.

I try to record some of mine, but life moves so fast, I just can't get them all, I attempt to nail down a certain Idea, feeling, something I have seen, or story I've been told, an experience that has made a lasting impression..... We all have similar pleasures and fears I attempt to come clean, without spelling everything out, I would rather you try to figure some of these things out, come up with your own conclusion, to have you pay more attention to your own world.

At one point or another we all end up in one of my paintings, what you see here, could help you decipher where you are, where you have been, and where you are going.

Not all of it is pretty.

Nothern Lights
acrylic/canvas
aprox. 3ft.x4ft.

I did this a while back........
It's one of those paintings that  had absoulty no starting point. I worked through it like I would a doodle.
Looks like things got a little out of hand.
I kind of forgot about it untill I found it on my computer, when carrie becker threw those questions at me, I found it to send a few examples of my work.
It's wrapped and tucked neatly in the attic.waiting for more wall space.

what i liked about this , is that even with no starting point , you were able to give great values for every detail .

I have so many paintings tucked away in my attic. Its interesting to pull them out sometimes. I really like the colors of this one. You are very talented.

thanks vienna...
yeah, I tend to like stark, this is a little busy but there is a quiet emptyness to it at the same time.
I'm an american living in america.

Again: i lóve this painting very, very much. So mysterious, such gorgeous colours, so dreamlike. I love the palette you use JB, very special combinations. I love this image. Hmmm, i wish i had painted this beautiful world. :-D I learn from it JB, looking at it. I learn to dare and to let go frames (restraints)

Sweet greetz!
