statement

Most of my work is a journey, as well as statement of my surroundings. Things happen all around us all the time, whether we acknowledge them or ignore them are always up to us.

I try to record some of mine, but life moves so fast, I just can't get them all, I attempt to nail down a certain Idea, feeling, something I have seen, or story I've been told, an experience that has made a lasting impression..... We all have similar pleasures and fears I attempt to come clean, without spelling everything out, I would rather you try to figure some of these things out, come up with your own conclusion, to have you pay more attention to your own world.

At one point or another we all end up in one of my paintings, what you see here, could help you decipher where you are, where you have been, and where you are going.

Not all of it is pretty.

I love the color combination in this one. Red and black always go so well together.

hey eva....
thanks, yeah I like the color scheme myself, the black is actually a mix of burnt sienna and phalo blue, it gives a much richer color than just plain black.
I see your new page is off and running, nice

Scribe..
yeah those little creatures have a way of getting under your skin! it all starts with a "mew" at the side door, then they run the house, its weird.... I didnt pay it much attention. but it(she) refused to go unnoticed

vienna...
Glad you like it, this is not a highly detailed painting, infact its somewhat crude, but I think sometimes, you can say more with
less.

This is wonderful. The colors draw me in, of course. But it is the shadow of the tree and they way it looks like the skeleton of a fish that really gets me. The visitor is going to stay, I think.

I'm so glad you are posting on FoS.

its cool that some people see this and other see that.

We recently had a bobcat in our neighborhood. Someone got a shot of it creeping across their patio wall. That's what your painting reminded me of. Love the stylized shadows of the forms in this, and the contrasting palette.

Thank you for visiting my blog recently and leaving such a gracious comment. I haven't been getting around to blogs as much as I'd like, but I am now going to click to follow yours.

Thanks, I really enjoyed the red thread story, and the work your doing is exceptional.
glad you think enough of my work to click on.
hope I don't let anyone down
(don't let the bob cat in the house, it may not leave!)

I love this...very much. I always view animals that pop up in my life unexpectedly as totems, or a bush-soul. The way you rendered both the human and a cat form in red reinforces their connection and gives the whole piece an archetypal, yet ethereal quality. Well done.
