statement

Most of my work is a journey, as well as statement of my surroundings. Things happen all around us all the time, whether we acknowledge them or ignore them are always up to us.

I try to record some of mine, but life moves so fast, I just can't get them all, I attempt to nail down a certain Idea, feeling, something I have seen, or story I've been told, an experience that has made a lasting impression..... We all have similar pleasures and fears I attempt to come clean, without spelling everything out, I would rather you try to figure some of these things out, come up with your own conclusion, to have you pay more attention to your own world.

At one point or another we all end up in one of my paintings, what you see here, could help you decipher where you are, where you have been, and where you are going.

Not all of it is pretty.

Electrical wires or jumper cables?
Fascinating painting.

JBK,

This one is open to a lot of interpretations...I see snakes, not cables, and the colors aren't really doom and gloom, kind of light the point between the day and the night or the night and the day. At any rate, thought provoking and well executed!

Hope you are doing well, my friend!

Take care,
Brian

Interesting painting. My mind instantly raced back to when my son was 2 or 3 and he took his spoon to pry a plug out of a socket. It shocked him, but didn't hurt him. However it melted two places in the spoon!I think it hurt me more than him.It never would occur to me to paint such and event, much less to know how to go about it. You are the master!

You know, JB, those were wonderful days on the Piankytank River in Virginia...with the sun coming down on your back and the fish and eels easy for the picking. I remember spending days out in a little fishing boat away from everything and everybody...the good life.
