statement

Most of my work is a journey, as well as statement of my surroundings. Things happen all around us all the time, whether we acknowledge them or ignore them are always up to us.

I try to record some of mine, but life moves so fast, I just can't get them all, I attempt to nail down a certain Idea, feeling, something I have seen, or story I've been told, an experience that has made a lasting impression..... We all have similar pleasures and fears I attempt to come clean, without spelling everything out, I would rather you try to figure some of these things out, come up with your own conclusion, to have you pay more attention to your own world.

At one point or another we all end up in one of my paintings, what you see here, could help you decipher where you are, where you have been, and where you are going.

Not all of it is pretty.

I've been thinking of Lyle Lovett's song, "Since the last time somebody died." Now you've painted it--your works always seem familiar. They're great.

Hang in there with Blogger--I had a problem (my photo id dropped from most blogs I followed) and, one day--four months later--I suddenly reappeared.

Thank Halie...
I love Lyle, I seen him about 6 or 7 times, I like him best with his "Large" band... last time he included kids from the music school to play a few songs on one of the sets... He's one of the most reluctant entertainers I've ever seen.
But always a pleasure to see!

will hand in there, what choice do I have? I enjoy everyone company too much to shut this down.

Nice work JB! Love the colors and composition. Being a follower of Christ and having my fair share of episodes with the churchfolk (not Christ) I can very much relate to this theme. That's just what came to mind.

I have the same JB. I also cannot comment on some blogs. It depends on how people have chosen the form to comment. Like this on your blog i can comment, but if it is a new window i cannot comment. Google doesn't recognize my account. :{

But now your painting. Another beautiful intense piece of art. i can't get enough of your dreamlike paintings. I always need more haha.
xoxo

Startling composition. This is just what...being in those buildings is like, except I'm usually just wishing the jester would show up. ;-)
